TRAINING PROGRAM
The Actor's Instrument: Your Body, Voice & Emotions
technique class treating the body, voice, and emotional life as an instrument to be trained, Work includes physical warm-ups, breath and vocal exercises to expand range and support, and emotional-access work (sense memory, personalization) to reach truthful feeling needed to realize a role. You'll leave with tools to walk into an audition or rehearsal room and access your full range — body, voice, and emotion — on cue.

Bringing the Work to Life: Scene Study & Monologues
A hands-on class in building a role from the page up. You'll break down scripts for objectives, obstacles, and tactics, rehearse scenes and monologues in front of the group, and get direct notes on making stronger, more specific choices. Expect work on finding the "why" behind every line, playing actions instead of emotions, and shaping a monologue. .Two semesters of 25, three-hour sessions that meet once a week and conclude in a public showcase performance. Taught by Nora Cole, a veteran performing artist of Broadway, off-Broadway, regional, national and international theatre, and a director and writer.
